“WE ARE FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHTS”
After years of enjoying our weekly Friday night basketball games, we are thrilled to announce the launch of our very own basketball league! Friday Night Lights. This league has been a long-time dream of ours, and we couldn’t be more excited to bring it to life with all of you.
First and foremost, we want to emphasize that this league is all about having fun and fostering a spirit of friendly competition among us. It’s an opportunity for us to come together, and create something to be proud of.
While we’re certainly looking forward to some intense and exciting games, let’s always remember the essence of why we started this league in the first place: the joy of playing basketball with our friends. This league is a celebration of our shared passion for the sport and the camaraderie that comes with it. If you’re looking for something that is just as super competitive as it can get, you will not find it here. There are leagues where you can put together the most competitive roster and go compete for cash prizes. That’s not what this is about. This is about putting together a league that is fun and competitive and does not restrict us from inviting all of our friends to play.
In order to maintain the positive and inclusive environment we’ve always enjoyed, we kindly ask that everyone upholds certain values throughout the league. Sportsmanship, respect, and fair play are the cornerstones of our gatherings. We may compete fiercely, but let’s never forget the reason we started this in the first place.
We will be keeping stats for the league and each team will be given a schedule and responsibility to make sure the stats and games are being recorded.
We want this league to be something that everyone is a part of. Stay for other games and watch. We don’t want the gym to be empty because teams only come for their own games. Let’s create a great environment for basketball.
Together, we can make this league a truly unforgettable journey.
